Workspaces explained

How a workspace relates to your company account, why you might have more than one, and where your agents and data live.

What a workspace is

A workspace is the boundary where your agents, tasks, files, skills, and settings live together. It is the unit your team signs into for day-to-day work.

In Smart AI Team cloud deployments, that boundary typically maps to an isolated tenant runtime so customer data does not mix at the application layer.

Why you might see more than one

  • Separate production and experimentation workspaces reduce the risk of test agents touching production connectors.
  • Agencies and consultancies sometimes use one workspace per client contract.
  • Some enterprises split by region or business unit; choose the fewest workspaces that still match your governance model.

Switching workspaces

Use the workspace picker after sign-in. If you land in the wrong workspace, switch before changing secrets or deleting resources.
