How to export your Claude data

Export Claude data from Settings → Privacy on the web or Desktop, then import the download, Claude Code skills, or markdown notes into Smart AI Teams.

Who can export

Data exports are available to individual Claude users on Free, Pro, and Max plans. They include conversation data and the user data for your account.

If you are on a Team or Enterprise plan, only your organization's Primary Owner can access data exports.

Export from Settings > Privacy on the web app or Claude Desktop. You cannot run an export from Claude for iOS or Android.

Export your Claude data

  • Click your initials in the lower left corner of your account.
  • Select Settings from the menu.
  • Navigate to the Privacy section.
  • Click the Export data button.

Download your export

Once the export has been processed, you will receive a download link via email.

  • There may be a small delay while the export is generated.
  • The email is sent to the address associated with your account.
  • You must be signed in to your account to download your data using this link.
  • The download link expires 24 hours after delivery.
  • If your link expires, request a new one by repeating the export process.

Import into Smart AI Teams

Claude does not import this zip into another personal Claude account. Drop it in Smart AI Teams instead. A conversations JSON file from that zip also works.

Claude Code skills import as SKILL.md, a .skill file, or a zip that contains them. Markdown notes become workspace memories.

We pull reusable skills and memory-style notes. We do not copy your entire Claude history as a live transcript.
